ConVista Consulting wins the title “Germany’s Best Employer” for the fourth time
ConVista is once again accredited with the prestigious title “Germany’s Best Employer” for 2011 in a national competition organized by Great Place to Work® after reaching 6th place in the category of organisations with 50 to 500 employees.

The award ceremony took place on the 23rd February 2011 in Berlin from the Great Place to Work® Institute, Germany in co-operation with the “Handelsblatt”, the “personalmagazin”, the Department of Work and Social Affairs, the Initiative for New Quality at Work (INQA) and Cologne University.
“ConVista identifies itself through its employees. They are the central element upon which our services to our customers are built. The Great-Place-to-Work-Study is an instrument of self reflection for us, with the goal of experiencing the atmosphere and motivation of our entire workforce through objective eyes, thus enabling us to identify and recognise potential areas of optimization and, thereby enabling us to set the correct measure in motion. We are extremely proud of the fact that we have managed to be awarded the title “Germany’s Best Employer” for the fourth time,” explained Oliver Kewes, Director of Human Resources Development.
The award symbolizes quality and indicates how attractive an employer is to their employees. The study is based on a questionnaire undertaken by employees on central topic such as management, co-operation, recognition, career development etc. As well as checking which measures have been implemented in the organisations personnel programme. Central evaluation criteria are integrity, respect, fairness, how proud the employees feel about their own performance and how the overall organisation performs, as well as team spirit within the organisation.
This year a total of 290 organisations took part in the competition from all industries, organisational sizes and regions. About 120,000 employees were questioned. The results provide an indication of the company culture, the perceived quality and attractiveness of an employer for about 300,000 employees in Germany.
In addition to the 62 closed questions, employees were asked the open question as to whether there was anything particularly special about the organisation they work for. This is where ConVista employees were able to say whatever they liked about anything they found particularly positive about their job. There were numerous answers and many spoke of the “ConVista Spirit”. Answers ranged from “positive exchanges with management and a real interest in the employees and how they are doing personally as well as professionally.” Other answers were: “Not only is it accepted that every individual is unique, but individual uniqueness is positively encouraged,” and, “From day one, one has an unbelievable feeling of togetherness at ConVista,”: “There are no secrets, nothing hiding backstage, there is just the team”; “If someone excels in a team, their performance is recognised without envy”; “The general working atmosphere is open and based on a genuine trust in the employee”; “I am able to make decisions necessary for my daily work, and I know that my manager will support me in these decisions, without me having to ask all the time”. Particularly common were the positive comments made about the internal information events, which take place twice a year for all colleagues. They provide a platform for exchanging information and networking and are combined with social events and trips out, to which partners and children are also invited.
ConVista Consulting is an international consulting company for the organisation and technical integration of standard software. “Our employees come from all over the world and everyone brings their own cultural background with them. Despite our rapid expansion we have retained a sense of where we came from. It is these old Cologne characteristics such as a zest for life, a love of communication and having fun at work, which characterizes our work and our team spirit,” explains Sabine Goebbels, who is responsible for Human Resources at ConVista Consulting.
