Development of Content for General, Health, and Accident Isurance.
Benefits: Prevention of data redundancy and minimization of costs and development effort.
For the project Nonlife Masters General, Health, and Accident, the standard FS-PM system was implemented and enhanced to handle customer-specific requirements, which were not covered by the basic system functionality. In order to do this, it was necessary to create special views and fields for the client, which were populated with the relevant data from the product machine msg.FS-PM, so that the requirement information could be presented on screen. This enhanced version of the standard SAP FS-PM system will be used in future projects, when the policy management system is to be implemented in subsidiaries within the group.
The advantage of this approach is that redundant development is prevented, thus reducing costs. Another positive outcome is that the timescales for further implementations of FS-PM will be reduced, as it will be possible to use existing functionality, and it will only be necessary to implement those characteristics of insurance products and views that are specific to a particular subsidiary.
