Feasibility Study for the Implementation of SAP FS-CD

Two old systems become one new one

For decades Zurich Insurance, Germany, has had two mainframe based collections systems for life insurance and general insurance.

Across the world the Zurich Group has been committed to the implementation of SAP FS-CD for several years, so it made sense to assess the business case for an implementation of FS-CD at the Zurich in Germany as well as drafting a concept for implementation.

The project focused on the following three areas:

The replacement of both legacy collections systems, implementing SAP standard as far as possible, the amortization of SAP software after a maximum of 4 years. Requirements were gathered during a total 25 workshops on individual SAP FS-CD topics and documented in a general concept in German and English. Simultaneously the business case looked at the return on investment for the software, which was then presented to management.
