Faktor IPS a real alternative to msg.PM

To meet the needs of the insurance industry, ConVista Consulting AG built, in co-operation with Faktor Zehn, an interface between FS-PM and alternative product machine, Faktor IPS.

The product machine is Java-based and platform-independent. This means that no specialist knowledge in the rare programming language M10 is required. Along with Java, there is a new feature: the "one click deployment“. A product is transferred directly into the policy management system with one mouse click, which radically simplifies the process. Moreover, partition and configuration management display changes, which are not available with msg.PM. Even the interface to the Rating Engine is possible with Factor IPS. The Ratings Engine is a tool for calculating tariffs and is widely used in the USA.

ConVista Consulting AG's core competence is the Consultants' expertise in the interface to the product system, including calculation procedures, portfolio configurator, the mapping of product models, and data exchange with the product system (adjustment and queries of product templates).
