Professional Advancement for All!
The IT consulting firm is now offering its ConVista Academy training program to customers and other interested parties.

In April 2011, ConVista began giving its customers the chance to advance their knowledge of processes, methods, and technology through its ConVista Academy training program. Based on practical and technical expertise developed in ConVista’s own projects, the content of this program builds on internal courses the consultancy has been successfully conducting for many years in a “for colleagues, by colleagues” format.
Customers can arrange to have these new external courses held on-site or at ConVista’s offices, with both individuals and entire groups eligible to participate. Those interested can obtain an overview of the individual modules at www.ConVista.com.
The process-related courses, for example, focus on industry-spanning topics such as compliance management and matters of finance. ConVista’s consultants also impart their knowledge of processes in two focus industries: insurance (portfolio and claims management, for instance) and utilities (smart metering, SAP IS-U). In the area of methods, meanwhile, participants find out what they need to take on and manage successful projects in a systematic fashion. Finally, the technology-focused portion of ConVista Academy teaches learning groups how the software provided by our longstanding partner SAP works and how to program in ABAP.
“It’s become clear that our customers are expressing an ever-greater demand for our training courses,” explains Susanne Rüter, who organizes ConVista Academy and is responsible for ConVista’s training courses. “Since our internal professional development activities have proven so popular, we’ve decided to make them available to a broader audience.”
Every IT project demands proficiency in processes, methods, and the corresponding technology. From the junior level all the way to the executive board, ConVista’s consultants base their work on these three dimensions. If one is assigned to a project involving an insurance customer, for example, he or she will not only be well versed in the subject of payment transactions, but know how to deal with the software in question (in this case, SAP FS-CD), as well. To complete the triad, the consultant will also possess methodological knowledge of project and change management. This is why our training courses have long since been divided into three areas.
Back in 1999, ConVista was founded in part on the idea of combining technical consulting with in-depth comprehension of specific areas to provide customers with a range of services that suit them best. With SAP as our technological basis, we initially focused our consulting efforts on processes in the insurance industry. Now, just under 12 years later, ConVista has a total of 17 branch offices all over the world. In addition to numerous clients in the insurance sector and across several other industries, we now advise several companies in the field of utilities.
