SAP FS-CD Implementation

New collections system for "accident and health" products

AIU Japan, a subsidiary of the American organisation AIG, is implementing the SAP module FS-CD for accident and medical insurance for both group and individual insurance.

For phase 1, FS-CD functioned simply as a sub-ledger, logging the clearing status of transactions and, where necessary, triggering payments and invoices. The payment and invoicing processes themselves remained in the legacy system. In subsequent phases, the mainframe functionality will be replaced gradually; FS-CD will be integrated with FI-GL and further lines of business and products, such as "New Medical", will be consolidated in FS-CD.. As well as being responsible for the blueprint and implementation, ConVista also manages the quality assurance and test management.
