Successful Human Resources Marketing Events for ConVista in 2008

Throughout the past year ConVista took part in several recruiting events in the search for good quality graduates.

On 19th and 20th November ConVista had a stand again at the graduate fair run by the company Staufenbiel (previously known as Hobsons) in one of the Cologne Exhibition GmbH halls. Europe’s largest recruiting fair proved to be extremely successful. ConVista´s motivated exhibition team got to meet many promising candidates. The first applicants have already joined the consulting house, which means that the ConVista Team will continue to be joined by young graduates in 2009.

The next recruiting event for the organisation is the connecticum 2009, which will take place in Berlin in April.

Just one week later there was another recruiting event in Cologne: on the morning of the 27th November selected students from the University of Duisburg-Essen gathered together in the Cologne office in order to attend a one day personnel marketing competition with the motto “ConVista is searching for…”. This event reinforced the co-operation between ConVista and the participating colleges and provided new ideas for personnel marketing.

The event was initiated, organised and managed by the personnel department. A Marketing lecturer at the university selected the students, who were all studying Marketing and Human Resources Management as their main subject and put them in touch with ConVista. The highly motivated students were given a task to work on in teams to come up with new recruitment ideas and to present their solutions to all parties that same evening. Although some of the solutions were already well established the students also came up with some excellent new ideas and approaches.

A further example of collaboration with colleges was the co-operation with the company “Deutsche Hochschulwerbung” and the University of Cologne. ConVista was given the opportunity of placing posters in centrally located areas within the University building.

In January, following a positive response, the next steps commenced: ConVista will have their logo and texts printed on paper coffee cups in cafeterias at six universities across Germany. This advertising space will offer a free SAP introductory course in the ConVista office in Cologne. This course will take place in the second and third week in March and will students who will be graduating soon.

During the introductory course delegates will gain an overview of the features of SAP functionality and will be given a certificate at the end of the course.

In the new year a new round of the trainee programme commenced (the 2008 trainee programme proved to be a great success): on 5th January 2009 the trainees met in the Cologne offices at the Rheinau docks. The young individuals from across the world are currently being trained in ConVista´s various business areas.
