Test management with the Solution Manager

Test management for the implementation of a centralized accounting system for life insurance, general insurance, and assets.

The project scope covered the implementation of a centralized accounting system for handling general ledger accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable, asset accounting, and controlling. Also within the scope was the implementation of 60 interfaces and a migration of the old accounting data into the system.

ConVista supported the project with professional test management. All areas of test management were administered using the SAP Solution Manager, including interfaces, authorisations, and migration. In order to evaluate test cases for their level of risk, the Solution Manager was modified. Additional developments allowed test cases to be created in the test workbench and any relevant documents to be attached to the individual test cases without the need for any manual intervention.

ConVista was able to ensure the success of the project, thanks to the extensive experience of our consultants and their in-depth knowledge of the SAP solutions "Solution Manager", "Controlling and Financial Accounting (FI) / NewGL".
